Swarnagiri Temple: A Divine Marvel in Telangana

Swarnagiri Sree Venkateshwara Swamy Devasthanam, also known as Swarnagiri Temple, is a prominent Hindu temple dedicated to Lord Venkateshwara Swamy.

Located atop Manepally Hills in Bhuvanagiri, Telangana, India, the temple is approximately 50 kilometers from Hyderabad and about 19.7 kilometers from the Sri Lakshmi Narasimha Swamy Temple in Yadadri.

The temple was constructed by the Manepally family as an expression of gratitude following a miraculous recovery of Srimati Vijaya Lakshmi, wife of Sriman Manepalli Rama Rao, after a serious accident.

The construction, adhering to traditional Sri Pancharatra Agama and Tennacharya practices, spanned over seven years and was completed in 2024.

Architecturally, Swarnagiri Temple is renowned for its intricate carvings, ornate sculptures, and towering gopurams, reflecting the Dravidian style.

The main deity, Lord Venkateshwara, is enshrined within the sanctum sanctorum, surrounded by walls and ceilings depicting scenes from Hindu epics. The temple is open daily from 5:00 AM to 9:00 PM, with specific times allocated for various rituals and ceremonies.

Devotees can participate in different sevas, such as Archana, Kumkuma Archana, and Suprabhatha Seva, which can be booked online through the temple’s official website. Swarnagiri Temple has quickly become a focal point of spiritual significance and architectural magnificence, attracting devotees and tourists alike.
